Potential 2016 Presidential candidates Cruz, Perry, Jindal, Huckabee, and Santorum to speak at conference hosted by anti-LGBT hate group
Today at 9:30 AM CT, national and local experts will preview the Family Leadership Summit being held on Saturday in Ames. Potential Presidential candidates will attend and speak at the summit, in an attempt to gain favor with Bob Vander Plaats in advance of the 2016 Iowa caucus. The Summit is hosted by Vander Plaats, the Family Leader, Governor Terry Branstad, anti-LGBT hate group the Family Research Council, as well as other organizations.
The Family Leadership Summit is planned by the Family Leader, an extreme conservative organization, and their President, Bob Vander Plaats. In past years the summit has been a forum for hateful rhetoric by politicians, talk radio hosts, and other extreme conservatives.

Family Research Council identified by Southern Poverty Law Center as anti-LGBT Hate Group
“The Family Research Council (FRC) bills itself as “the leading voice for the family in our nation’s halls of power,” but its real specialty is defaming gays and lesbians. The FRC often makes false claims about the LGBT community based on discredited research and junk science. The intention is to denigrate LGBT people in its battles against same-sex marriage, hate crimes laws, anti-bullying programs and the repeal of the military’s “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” policy.”
