On the floor of the Iowa Senate, Sen. Amy Sinclair suggested that her colleague, Sen. Nate Boulton, could have been aborted by his mother. Her inappropriate remarks were made during the conclusion of the floor debate on SF2, legislation to defund Planned Parenthood in Iowa:
After making her snide comment, Sinclair was interrupted, called to the well of the Senate, then apologized to Senator Boulton and his mother. Judge for yourself the sincerity of her apology (beginning at the 2:52 mark below) and watch her entire closing remarks:
SF2 passed on a party line vote, 30-20. Sinclair also silenced the voices of Iowans, limiting debate during a subcommittee on the legislation to just 30 minutes, despite hundreds of citizens in attendance. The measure now moves to the Iowa House of Representatives.
